Strong gusts of wind, hail showers and rain hit Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on Monday. Buildings and vehicles were damaged and trees were uprooted. A woman was killed by a falling tree in Lithuania, according to Lithuanian radio, citing the emergency services. According to media reports, thousands of households in Estonia and Latvia were temporarily without electricity. Farmers complained about considerable damage at the beginning of the harvest season.

While the storm is slowly weakening, it causes strong gusts of wind on the North Sea coast. The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of possible storm hazards in Schleswig-Holstein. Wind gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour are expected on the coast of North Frisia and on Fehmarn on Wednesday morning. As a result, wind force nine is sometimes even reached. In the northern interior of the country, gusts of wind force seven can also be expected until the evening. The south of Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg are not affected by the warnings according to the DWD forecast.
