Storm and heavy rain with hurricane gusts

On Tuesday it was again very humid and hot in the country during the day. But the weather situation changes, in the evening and at night there are sometimes severe storms – but the DWD gives the all-clear for the night.

The heat is followed by storms: Since Tuesday afternoon there have been isolated severe thunderstorms with hurricane gusts and hail in Baden-Württemberg. The first thunderstorm cells reached the regions around Ulm and the border area with France around Rastatt and Karlsruhe in the early evening. According to the police, there were a large number of operations due to fallen trees. Injuries or people in danger have not yet been reported there. In the meantime, the German Weather Service (DWD) has given the all-clear for Baden-Württemberg – the thunderstorms should continue to move towards Bavaria during the night.
