In June 2021, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken published a tweet that was well received in Russia. On the occasion of “Immigration Heritage Month” he thinks of “the path of my own family”, wrote Blinken and posted a photo of his great-grandfather Meir, “who fled pogroms in Eastern Europe” and arrived in New York in 1904.
