Moderator Steven Gätjen and psychologist Sandra Sangsari will keep an eye on the situation from a control room and explain it to the viewers.

Philip Pratt, Head of German Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, emphasizes: “‘Light Out’ is a gripping, surprising, but also humorous experiment that plays with our fears in the dark and confronts the participants with them.” This is “pure entertainment”.
