“Stern” magazine is reorganizing its editor-in-chief – media

Since January 2022, the Gruner + Jahr publishing house has belonged to the private broadcaster RTL – and with it the way the magazine works is also changing star: The old G+J print magazines should work closely with the television station. As of September 1st, Gregor Peter Schmitz is building as Chairman of the star-Editor-in-chief continues to expand its management team. He appoints Cornelia Fuchs and Giuseppe Di Grazia to the editorial board. Fuchs was previously in a managerial position for the paid content of the star employed. She should also take care of the digital subscription model in the editor-in-chief. Giuseppe Di Grazia replaces Stefanie Hellge as deputy editor-in-chief. He will mainly concentrate on the print planning, like that star communicates.

His predecessor Stefanie Hellge is leaving at her own request, like him star explained. He “very much regrets it”, Gregor Peter Schmitz is quoted as saying. From many conversations over the past week, he knows “that after 16 years at Gruner + Jahr, the desire to take on new tasks has matured.”

Alongside Schmitz, Anna-Beeke Gretemeier is still editor-in-chief of Stern. She had taken over the management together with Schmitz’ predecessor Florian Gless. In the new constellation, however, Schmitz is the chairman of the editor-in-chief. Gretemeier is currently on parental leave. Laura-Lena Förster, who takes care of the digital area, remains as deputy editor-in-chief.
