Stephan Ziegler owns one of the largest and most luxurious dental practices in Germany. People like Wolfgang Joop and Désirée Nick come to his parties. And he has an unusual talent: He can tell which party they belong to by looking at politicians’ smiles.
Before the conversation begins, Stephan Ziegler would like to give a tour of his dental practice on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm. It is 3,000 square meters in size and looks like a mixture of a hotel lobby and a beauty salon. The 61-year-old himself has something of a jovial host. When he speaks, you can hear the old West Berlin, a bit of Günter Pfitzmann. However, a different clientele comes to Ziegler than to the down-to-earth television doctor at the “Bülowbogen Practice”.
