Three boys are said to have vandalized a school in Upper Franconia so badly that classes were canceled. The children are said to have knocked over and torn down chairs and tables and other furniture, causing five-figure damage, a police spokesman said on Monday.
Officials were called to the school in Steinwiesen (Kronach district) on Sunday and discovered two boys aged 12 and 13 nearby. They admitted that they had violently broken into the building and rioted.
In addition to them, another person of the same age was said to have been involved in the crime. The school remained closed on Monday.
