The 56-year-old police director is the new head of the Munich Federal Police Inspectorate, and is therefore responsible for the Hauptbahnhof, Ostbahnhof and Pasinger Bahnhof, three of the four largest train stations in Bavaria. In addition, nine neighboring counties belong to the area of responsibility of the inspection. Steffen Quaas, who comes from Thuringia, has already held various management positions, including as head of the drones and drone defense project group at the Federal Police Headquarters in Potsdam.
