State elections in Munich Postal voting documents can now be applied for – Munich

There are less than six weeks until the state and district elections in Bavaria, and around 915,000 people in Munich can vote on the composition of both bodies. That’s how many are in the voters’ register, which the electoral office created on Sunday.

From September 1st, all eligible voters will be notified by post; Anyone who has not received anything by September 17th should contact the electoral office immediately, by e-mail ([email protected]) or by telephone on 089/233-96233.

Anyone who already knows that they cannot or do not want to vote on October 8th can now apply for postal voting documents: online at www.briefwahl-muenchen.de or in writing to the Wahlamt, Ruppertstraße 19, 80466 Munich – the letter must contain the application, which is on the back of the election notification or can be downloaded from the Internet (www.muenchen.de/briefwahl).

If necessary, they can be requested with an informal e-mail (to [email protected]), in which at least your name, address and date of birth must be given. The postal voting documents will be sent by post from the beginning of September. They can also be picked up at the Kreisverwaltungsreferat, Ruppertstraße 11, between September 18th and October 6th.
