State elections in Munich: glitch in election notifications for the constituency Mitte – Munich

The city made the same mistake as in 2018 when printing the election notifications for the state and district elections on October 8. The district administration department (KVR) admitted on Thursday that “109 Munich-Harlaching” had been accidentally printed on around 48,000 election notifications for constituency 109 Munich-Mitte.

When the KVR noticed the error, the dispatch of the documents was stopped and the error corrected for further printing. The election notifications are valid despite the error. All other information on the notification is correct (in particular the responsible polling station, the voting district and constituency number and the electoral register number).

With the voting notification, you can apply for postal voting as well as vote in the polling station. The KVR wants to inform the persons concerned in a letter that the incorrect designation is irrelevant. This error had already occurred in the Munich-Mitte constituency in the 2018 state and district elections. The situation was corrected five years ago for the election at that time, but apparently not for the future.
