This early evening, the first guests to the festive state banquet for King Charles III. (74) arrived. On the stairs of Bellevue Palace in Berlin, the cameras of the photographers present caught former Chancellor Angela Merkel (68), who quickly climbed the steps and only turned around for a quick photo just before the entrance.

A secret was kept for a long time about the guest list for the exclusive event in the official residence of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (67). But in addition to numerous high-ranking personalities from current politics such as Economics Minister Robert Habeck (53), Finance Minister Christian Lindner (44) or British Foreign Minister James Cleverly (53), Toten Hosen frontman Campino (60) also appeared at the celebratory state banquet.
As required by the dress code, the punk had wrapped himself in an elegant tailcoat – and posed in a good mood on the steps of Bellevue Palace for the photographers present. Campino is known as a big fan of the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). “For me she is a really great person”, the musician had explained to the “Bild” newspaper before the death of the English queen in September 2022.
