The mood in the start-up scene is bad: fewer and fewer people are starting up businesses. Compared to the previous year, the number fell by five percent to just under 2,500 start-ups. Compared to the record year of 2021, the decline is even 22 percent. At that time, 3,196 start-ups were founded. According to the association, the reasons for this are wars, inflation, rising interest rates and falling purchasing power.
