The latest developments in and around the AfD have made Katrin Ebner-Steiner think of a children’s song: The parliamentary group leader in the Bavarian state parliament looks into the audience, smiles. Then she whistles into the microphone: “Ten little hmm-hmm-hmm.” And so that everyone really understands what the song is about, she adds that it is about “ten little black people.”
