Starting today, Star Wars fans can make a dream come true: In the “Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser” at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, visitors can spend two nights on a space journey in a space cruiser. At least if you have the wherewithal.
What is it actually like to see, feel and experience Star Wars? Visitors to the new “Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser” at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida can now find out. Although the stay is limited to two nights, the makers promise that guests can write their own Star Wars story during that time.
Hotel visitors check-in in style via a launch pad aboard the Star Cruiser Halcyon and are immediately part of the adventure after docking and entering through an airlock. You interact with the characters, crew and other passengers.
For example, during your stay you may be asked to keep a secret, deliver a covert message, participate in a risky robbery, defend the ship, or hide an ally. The possibilities are endless.
Guests will encounter well-known characters such as Chewbacca and Kylo Ren
“Guests’ choices affect the course of these stories, which intertwine with those of other passengers and well-known characters like Chewbacca, Rey and Kylo Ren as the momentum builds for an action-packed adventure that could change the fate of the galaxy.” the company announced.
In groups, guests can take part in lightsaber training

During their stay, guests can learn how to use lightsabers or be shown how to operate the systems, including weapons and shields, on the bridge.
Bunks are reminiscent of other famous Star Wars ships
The onboard 100 passenger cabins feature a view of space that changes throughout the voyage, featuring spectacular ships and galactic landmarks. The sleeping berths are reminiscent of those of other famous “Star Wars” ships such as the Millennium Falcon.
Dressing up is allowed in the hotel and expressly encouraged. For those who wish to tie in with the theme appropriately, there is an extensive merchandise collection on board with a wide range of clothing and accessories for guests to purchase and wear throughout their voyage. Upon request, a hair and make-up team is available for a fee.
Staying in the Galactic Starcruiser doesn’t come cheap
During their stay, guests also take a trip to the planet Batuu. To do this, they board a special transport shuttle. The actions they take on the planet can affect the Halcyon spaceship and how their story continues there. Also included is a visit to the Star Wars theme park and a dinner performance featuring performances by popular characters such as Yoda.
Gaya is the star of the stage show at the new Hotel Star Wars. She is a Twi’lek, the characters with a large tail growing out of their heads and first appeared in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

However, the adventure is not cheap. Prices vary depending on arrival date, travel time and number of people in the cabin. One person pays $1,209 for an overnight stay in a double cabin. (1082 euros). The total stay is 4809 dollars (4304 euros). In a triple cabin you pay from 889 dollars (796 euros) per person or 5299 dollars (4742 euros) for the entire stay. In a four-person cabin, prices start at $749 (670 euros) or $5999 for the entire stay (5368 euros). There are no single cabins. Meals and entertainment are included in the price. Alcoholic drinks cost extra.
