A three-year-old girl who was rescued from a hot tub in a Bamberg outdoor pool on Tuesday died on Wednesday afternoon. Despite intensive treatment measures, her life could not be saved, according to the police.
Helpers had rescued the child motionless from the pool in the stadium pool on Tuesday evening. Bathers discovered the girl at the bottom of the hot tub, police said. The three-year-old was resuscitated by the bathing staff and then taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
The course of the accident is still unclear and is the subject of the investigation. At the request of the public prosecutor’s office, an expert for swimming pool technology who was already on site was called in, it said.
