“Squid Game” also on playgrounds in Munich – District of Munich

The Netflix series “Squid Game” is also being imitated in playgrounds in the Munich district, even in elementary schools. Rectors and educators do not want to dramatize this, but they see dangers – and react in different ways.

There are exactly 456 players on one field. Opposite them is a huge girl doll, a robot. If she turns her back on the players, they are allowed to run. If she turns to face them, they have to stop and not move. If they do, they will be shot. “Red light, green light” is the name of one of the children’s games with a fatal outcome from the currently popular Netflix series “Squid Game”. The plot of the series, in short: Indebted adults play children’s games. Whoever loses is killed. Whoever wins becomes rich. But although the series is only recommended for ages 16 and up, it has also arrived at schoolyards in the Munich district and is being imitated by schoolchildren there – even in elementary schools.
