Square Enix has teamed up with blockchain gaming company Enjin to launch an NFT based on the Final Fantasy franchise on Polkadot. However, the NFT is not a purely digital product, it is tied to action figures and cards. A game from Final Fantasy VII to celebrate the game’s 25th anniversary.

Square Enix will release a game card pack in spring 2023, which will sell for $4 per pack of 6 cards, each with a code to mint into Enjin-generated NFT cards on the Efinity platform. Based on the Polkadot blockchain
In November 2023, the company will release a limited-edition action figure of the iconic character Cloud Strife in both standard and “Digital Plus Edition” editions, along with a code to carry. Redeem an NFT certificate, but only the Digital Plus Edition comes with additional NFT: the standard version sells for $130, the Digital Plus Edition costs $160.
Enjin CTO Witek Radomski said the company first worked with Square Enix several years ago. However, the new partnership comes amid growing interest in blockchain technology and NFT for Square Enix with the Final Fantasy series, which Sold 168 million games worldwide since 1987.
