This not only applies to the students in Bavaria, but also to the soccer professionals of the Unterhaching game association. Coach Sandro Wagner gathered his regional league squad on Monday morning in the sports park after a four-week summer break for the first training session to prepare for the season, which begins for Haching on July 14 with the opening game in Buchbach. “It’s nice to see the boys all back on the pitch. We now have a lot of sessions ahead of us in which we can prepare the players for the season physically, tactically and mentally,” said Wagner. Also present were the newcomers René Vollath, Sebastian Maier (both Türkgücü Munich), Maximilian Welzmüller (FC Bayern II) and Mathias Fetsch (Kickers Offenbach). The latter initially had to complete running training, as did Markus Schwabl and Josef Welzmüller. Offensive player Niclas Anspach, 21, is back in training after his knee surgery last year. On the other hand, the two experienced players Dominik Stahl and Stephan Hain, who have been injured for a long time, are still missing: they are currently completing their rehabilitation program.
