The Springer Group appoints Robert Schneider as an additional editor-in-chief to the editorial board of Picture. The Axel Springer publishing house confirmed this on Friday when asked by the SZ. The 46-year-old Schneider, editor-in-chief of the Focusis at picture Co-Editor-in-Chief alongside Johannes Boie. At the same time, Springer rejected speculation that Schneider would replace Boie: “Media speculation that Johannes Boie will be replaced as a picture– Editor-in-Chief are wrong.”
Rather, Schneider will report as an additional editor-in-chief to Johannes Boie, who “remains unchanged in his current position as editor-in-chief and chairman of the Picture-editors-in-chief remains.” Most recently, Springer had confirmed media reportsaccording to which the TV broadcaster Bild TV will cut staff from January and significantly reduce its live offering.
