“Spezi suchtis”: And for the 200th time the crown cap flies – Bavaria

Piano music. A few teenagers in cowboy hats and boots play cards while others chat. Then a stranger with a revolver in his holster enters the double doors of the saloon. The conversations fall silent. He stalks to the counter. “I would like to have friends,” he says. The man behind the bar places a bottle labeled “Munich Mix” on the counter. A shot is fired and the bottle breaks. Obviously not the drink you wanted.

Roughly summarized, these are the first shots of the one and a half minute video clip that the Spezi suchtis, as five young people from the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim call themselves, uploaded to their Instagram account with their now 169,000 followers.

In their videos, the young people aged 13 and 14 demonstrate the creative way in which the cola-orange soda mix can be opened, not necessarily easily, but spectacularly so. They have already proven this several times – 199 times to be exact. The video “Showdown in the Flötzinger Saloon” is the two hundredth part of the series and the last for now.

For this final they went one step further. In addition to young extras who create the right atmosphere in the saloon, Eisi Gulp, known as “Papa Eberhofer” in Rita Falk’s Bavarian crime series, plays the bartender behind the bar. And fellow actor Daniel Christensen, known as Ignaz Flötzinger, also plays a saloon guest with a white cowboy hat and striped suit: “A specialist for the fine gentleman.” And then of course there are the addicts.

Since July 2022, they have been regularly working on new ideas to open their favorite drink. In addition to the handlebars of a city scooter from their first attempt, a door handle, an Oktoberfest tray, a maypole, a wood chip, a bicycle lock, a tool hammer, a shopping cart, a hand truck, a bicycle helmet or even a folding rule are also suitable for this.

In their videos, the boys often wear leather pants, traditional shirts, knee socks and haferl shoes. After originally planning 50 such videos, it quickly grew to 100. Now there are even 200. No wonder, because the videos are well received. The anniversary clip was uploaded a good week ago and as of November 10th already has more than 76,800 likes. Her most popular video now has over nine million views.

A brewery is now sponsoring the boys

In addition to introducing a new trick, this clip is also likely to spark a debate about who is the best specialist. Tastes have always differed here. That’s why there are always debates, votes and self-experiments in internet forums and fan groups. For the Spezi addicts, however, the matter is clear: Spezi from Flötzinger Bräu from Rosenheim is the best. The brewery now even sponsors the boys. This is also evident in the final clip.

Here, after a brief moment of shock as a result of the shot being fired, the bartender brings out another specialist. This time from, who would have guessed, Flötzinger Bräu. And finally what everyone has been waiting for happens in the video: the specialist is opened. How? With a revolver, literally. Place the barrel on the crown cap, pull down, pop.

With this last video the series is complete, at least officially. It remains to be seen whether it will stay that way or whether there will be more videos. In any case, the boys shouldn’t be lacking in creative ideas. And if so, a look at the comment columns will help. There are still a few suggestions there.
