“Special Envoy”, “C in the air”… France Télévisions shakes up its programs

Public service is keeping up with current events. While the war in Ukraine unleashed by Vladimir Putin has now lasted for ten days, France Télévisions has decided to devote a large part of its information meetings to the Russian offensive and its consequences for the Ukrainian people.

This Saturday, France 2 will broadcast a report shot in the air base of Constanța in 1:15 p.m., Saturday. In this Romanian city, one of NATO’s strategic points, French soldiers must ensure a deterrent presence and prepare to defend the territory with the other allies in the event of a Russian attack.

Sunday, direction France 5 for a special number of C in the air presented by Caroline Roux in prime time. In this program broadcast live, the journalist will be surrounded by guests and experts to discuss the war in Ukraine and its challenges for France, Europe and the world.

Live from the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique, a concert in support of Ukraine will be broadcast from 9:10 p.m. Indochine, Zazie, Pascal Obispo, Julien Clerc, Carla Bruni or Clara Luciani will participate in the event. Two days later, a new special evening will be held on the France 2 antenna. On Thursday, the channel will offer an issue of the magazine Correspondent closer to the fighting. The travel diary of a local child, the preparation of a baker from Besançon on his way to the border to help refugees, the daily life of a war reporter in Kiev, the arrival of populations in a village in Mayenne … In all, no less than six reports will be devoted to the war in Ukraine.
