SPD leadership for the first time since the beginning of the war in Ukraine

The SPD leadership has arrived in Ukraine for a surprise visit to assure the country of further extensive support in the war against Russia a year after the start of the war. After a nearly ten-hour train ride from the Polish border, party leader Lars Klingbeil and parliamentary group leader Rolf Mützenich arrived in the capital, Kiev, at exactly 6:30 a.m. local time.
