The measure is about people’s health. The vaccination rate is good, but not yet sufficient. In addition, many precautionary measures would have to be maintained, such as the mask requirement in public transport. “If we do all this, test it, follow the precautionary rules, vaccinate many, then we have a chance that we will have a better development of the infection rate than we have just seen in some neighboring countries,” said Scholz.
