Private passengers can also fly to the International Space Station for around 50 million euros. After ten days, a crew is now on its way back to earth.

The crew of the second completely private mission to the International Space Station is on its way back to Earth after around ten days on board the ISS.

Former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson, ex-racing driver John Shoffner, Saudi Arabian astronaut Rayyanah Barnawi and her colleague Ali Alqarni undocked from the ISS on Tuesday in a “Dragon” capsule from Elon Musk’s private space company SpaceX, as reported the US space agency announced. The capsule should land in the sea off the US state of Florida on Wednesday night.

On board the ISS, the crew carried out scientific experiments, among other things. The trip was organized by the private space company Axiom Space, in cooperation with NASA and SpaceX. According to media reports, the passengers each pay around 50 million euros for the trip. In April 2022, “Axiom-1” was the first completely private mission to the ISS.
