The Southside/Hurricane Festival has announced its first headliners – including top-class artists that can only be seen there.

The twin festivals Hurricane and Southside already have their first artists – and a female artist – announced for the 2024 events. There are already big names among them who will play on the stages at Scheeßel and in Neuhausen ob Eck between June 21st and 23rd, 2024.

Accordingly, pop star and singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran (32) will come to Germany exclusively for the sister festival. The Brit had recently made himself rare in this country: he only played one concert this year in the comparatively small Admiralspalast in Berlin. His new album “Autumn Variations” will be released at the end of September, and the concerts at Hurricane and Southside will be the only way to hear the artist live in Germany in 2024.

But Sheeran is not the only big name that the festival organizers can promise their visitors: Canadian rock and pop singer Avril Lavigne (38) is also coming to Germany for the music events. She has already made six stops in Germany with her “Love Sux Tour” this year.

British rock band Bring me the Horizon was also announced. By then, the men who actually wanted to release their new album “Post Human: Nex Gen” this month will probably have finished putting the finishing touches to their long player.

KIZ announce exclusive appearance at secret concert

Fans of German spoken singing can also look forward to a special act: The Berlin rap combo KIZ wants to grace the festivals again in 2024. The rappers just announced their new album “Görlitzer Park” for June 21, 2024 during a secret concert at the Reeperbahn Festival yesterday (September 21st) – as well as their festival participation. The performances at Hurricane and Southside are supposed to be exclusive, as the band also announced, according to media reports.
