South Tyrol: open the ski area – travel

The ski season has already started in South Tyrol and Trentino, and many ski areas will open in the coming days. For example, on December 4th, the Val Gardena and Val di Fassa start the new ski season, the Plan de Corones in the Pusteria Valley and Madonna di Campiglio in the Trentino are already open. Because of the snowfall in the past few days, many smaller ski areas will follow this coming weekend. A valid European Green Pass is required to use the lifts throughout Italy this season, which means that you have to be vaccinated, recovered or tested. This will remain so for the time being, although South Tyrol will become the yellow zone from December 6th due to the increasing number of infections (weekly incidence approx. 500) and the 2-G rule will then apply to restaurants, for example. For hotels it remains at 3 G. The Trentino remains consistently at 3 G, since the number of infections there has so far been significantly lower than in South Tyrol. For entry, a 3-G certificate must be presented (except for children under 6 years of age) as well as the EU form fill out.
