At the end of the song “Good Care”, Blushy AM and Devado hug each other and are happy about the frenetic applause of the audience at the “Sound of Munich Now” festival. Nobody expected this duet this evening – but the showcase festival, organized by Feierwerk and SZ, is known for surprises.
The Munich show took a break for three years due to the pandemic and transformed into a successful digital festival. The return to celebrations will take place in November 2023 – but the organizers still didn’t want to do without videos. Thanks to the support of the Cultural Department of the City of Munich and the Jugendkulturwerk, the Ideal Entertainment video crew is once again in action, filming the performances of the 20 bands with six cameras. One song is selected, edited and mastered – from then on a video is played every two weeks.
First up is Kristina Moser alias Blushy AM, who returned to the city’s stages in 2023 after her baby break with her feel-good pop, including at the “Oben Ohne Festival” on Königsplatz in the summer. She stands on stage at Hansa39 in a striped sweater and red cap, her life partner, the rapper Pink Stan, provides the driving beats. She sings “Take care of you” – an important message that the singer conveys to the audience with a lot of energy.
She is supported on this song by Debby van Dooren, who calls herself Devado and was also selected for the “Sound of Munich Now” festival this year. After two minutes you can see a little dance performance by the two of them. The audience in front of the stage also dances, raises their arms euphorically, cheers, applauds. Rightly so.
