If you take a look at MSI’s AMD 7000 series cards, you’ll notice that the selection is dwindlingly small. Hardware Unbboxed also noticed this again. Igor had already discussed the whole thing at the time of RDNA2, for example why certain cards are no longer sampled. The information back then was the same as it is now: Radeon cards were not the focus and the profit margin was too small. Igor had even calculated this many months ago because the manufacturer had already spoken of margins of around 5 percent.
Did I miss this story? MSI has been completely removed from AMD’s Radeon 7000 series, all existing products have been discontinued and they never released a 7700 XT/7800 XT. This all seems to have happened very quietly.

However, this does not mean that the cooperation between MSI and AMD should end. However, the company confirms that it is initially focusing more on RTX cards from NVIDIA instead of AMD. You can clearly see that people are focusing on this when comparing products between the 40 series and the 7000 series. Here you only have 4 products from the 7000 series from AMD, while NVIDIA shows clear dominance with more than 140 models. It’s no wonder that people are initially focusing on motherboards, as AMD’s “Zen 5” will probably be rolled out soon and the first companies are already preparing for it. Corresponding BIOS updates are already being published here so that users can enjoy the new Zen 5 with their AM5 motherboard in the future. How the future between AMD and MSI will develop remains to be seen. Here you can currently notice a clear dominance of NVIDIA over AMD. In addition, MSI is not an AMD exclusive partner with slightly better conditions, especially since AMD was able to win other partners such as Biostar. If there’s nothing left of the cake because there are too many blackheads to eat, you just go eat somewhere else.
