Sony responded to the criticism with the following changes and a gift • JPGAMES.DE

Gran Turismo 7 received mostly very positive feedback from the trade press, but also a lot of criticism from the fans right from the start. Not only that the servers were offline shortly after the launch and the title is therefore largely unplayable. Many fans are also dissatisfied with the balancing of the in-game currency. Unlocking new cars simply takes an eternity.

With a blog post Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi addresses the fan base today. First of all, thank you for the continued support, but also for the feedback, which does not go unheeded.

“I would like to apologize for the frustration and confusion caused last week with our patch updates, which not only resulted in a server outage but also adjustments to the in-game economy that were made without a clear explanation for our community were made,” says Yamauchi.

As a “goodwill gesture” an instant pack of one million credits is being distributed to all players who log into the game before April 25th. However, you must already own the game before this announcement.

At the beginning of April they want to release a patch that will rebalance the reward system. A number of changes are intended to ensure this, such as increasing the rewards from events in the second half of the World Circuits by an average of 100%. The rewards for online races should also be increased. A final list can be found in PlayStationBlog.

In addition, more patches will be released by the end of April, adding new cars and tracks and making other fixes. “We always want to communicate with our community so that we can work together to create the best possible racing experience,” promises Yamauchi.
