Sony Interactive Entertainment The company that produces the immensely popular Playstation game console and has released several popular video games. It has filed a patent application for NFT in an attempt to provide more flexibility in in-game content.

Sony admits that neither in-game digital assets nor NFTs could prove to be a pivotal moment in the evolution of gaming.
Sony’s filing also outlines its intention for NFT to work with “VR, AR headsets, smartphones, tablets, computers, and televisions.”
Sony filed for an NFT patent last November. The company is also exploring the use of blockchain technology for music rights management and education.
