Friday evening, more than 400 people gathered in the town of Arandas (Ain) to participate in a rave party which had not been authorized. If the mayor has filed a complaint for unlawful assembly, the gendarmes have not been idle to verbalize the offenders.
Being aware of “the possibility of the gathering”, the prefect of Ain had issued an order on Thursday evening to prohibit the transport of sound equipment. This did not deter the organizers from abandoning their project, nor the participants from going to the scene.

The next day, the gendarmes were able to intercept some of the vehicles responsible for carrying the sound system, indicates the prefecture in a press release, specifying that the drivers were placed in police custody. But others have taken over.
In total, forty-five gendarmes were mobilized to control the premises during the weekend and evacuate the communal land, Sunday at the end of the afternoon. Results of the operation: 15 vehicles impounded, complete seizure of sound and amplification equipment. In addition, 67 fines were drawn up, 44 of which are directly linked to the consumption or possession of narcotics, further specifies the prefecture of Ain.
