Sonja Zietlow and Jan Köppen do not agree on who is this year’s jungle camp favorite for the crown.
Five celebrities are currently fighting on “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” in the Australian jungle for the crown: Lucy Diakovska (47), Mike Heiter (31), Fabio Knez (30), Leyla Lahouar (27) and Twenty4Tim (23). The moderator duo will also be concerned about who will ultimately become king or queen of the jungle Sonja Zietlow (55) and Jan Köppen (40).
Zietlow has a clear favorite. For them it’s about who can best cope with the conditions in the jungle, she explains in a video on the show’s Instagram channel. For the long-time jungle camp moderator, the choice is easy: “Lucy, of course, because she does everything, can do everything, without drawing so much attention to herself.”
Jan Köppen: Lucy doesn’t open up enough
However, Köppen has concerns about the latter quality: “Unfortunately, I think that’s her problem, because on a certain level she’s a bit inconspicuous,” he contradicts. In the exams she proved how awesome she is and how much power she has. “But in the camp she’s not the kind of person who goes to the others and says, I’d like to talk, I have a problem.” In short: Lucy doesn’t open up enough. However, he also has a pleasant explanation for this: “I get the feeling she doesn’t want to draw any energy from them.”
For Zietlow, two others also have a good chance of making it to the final: “Fabio is cool too,” she thinks. “And Leyla is funny and cute […] but if you’re being completely honest, it’s not suitable for the jungle. She’s afraid of an earthworm if it crawls on her bed.”
