Started in 2011, the historical-critical complete edition of all of Richard Strauss’s works in 52 volumes, half of which have already been published, is expected to be completed within 25 years. On the occasion of the publication of the volume, bound as always in bright red linen, with the songs from the years 1918-1948, there was a wonderful concert in the large auditorium of the LMU, at whose musicological institute the edition is being prepared.
