In 2014, Conchita Wurst won the ESC 2014 and has now experienced a lot. Instead of chasing supposedly important people, appointments and prizes, the drag star now approaches life completely differently.

The Austrian ESC star Conchita After winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, Wurst (35) had a lot of experiences that help him stay calm today. “At the beginning of my career or after the victory, I was very focused on confirmation through awards and meetings with this, this and this person,” said the drag personality (“Rise Like a Phoenix”) to the German Press Agency in Hamburg.

The older she gets and the better she knows the business, the better she knows what she actually wants to get out of the business and what she doesn’t. At the moment Conchita Wurst, behind the entertainer Tom Neuwirth, is on the theater stage in Vienna.

“I have become more relaxed in many ways and notice that everything I do is primarily done for me.” In his own words, Wurst is grateful to lead this privileged life and to always have new adventures, to work with the best people and to learn so much.

“That’s actually how it runs through my career. I’m more relaxed than ever and yes, let myself go, enjoy the moment and yes, try, try to do everything as authentically as possible.”

Conchita Wurst is currently also working alongside Rea Garvey as a coach for singing talents in the show “I want to go to the ESC!” to see. The winner of the program will receive the still open ninth starting place for the German preliminary round on February 16th in Berlin.
