Gene is the son of Manchester-born ex-‘Oasis’ frontman Liam Gallager and his ex-wife Nicole Appleton, singer of the now-defunct girl group All Saints.

Like his son now, Liam Gallagher has been involved in fights several times. In 2002 he attacked a bouncer in a London bar. In the same year he fought with guests in the nightclub of the noble hotel Bayerischer Hof. Gallagher had both front teeth knocked out. When police arrived, he also kicked a police officer in the chest. After the scuffle, Oasis canceled all the remaining concerts on their tour of Germany. In 2006, he sprayed footballer Paul Gascoigne with a fire extinguisher during an argument. He fought so hard with his brother Noel that he left the band Oasis in 2009.
