Solana Labs has officially announced that a smartphone called the Saga will launch on May 8th, with the news that the pre-orders are already shipping.
Solana first revealed its creation of a crypto-focused smartphone nearly 10 months ago. The mobile device also acts as a hardware wallet.
The Solana Saga smartphone costs $1,000 and is built by Bay Area smartphone company OSOM, according to CoinDesk. It also has 512 GB of storage, a 6.67-inch OLED display with a fingerprint scanner. The device comes with the Android operating system pre-installed.
