Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have made “the difficult decision” to divorce after more than seven years of marriage.
The seventh year has apparently also added to the relationship between Sofia Vergara (51) and Joe Manganiello (46). The actor couple will divorce. The two “Page Six”, the gossip site of the “New York Post”, confirmed this.
Vergara and Manganiello are said to have grown apart
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” Vergara and Manganiellos said in a statement. “As two people who deeply love and care for one another, we politely ask for respect for our privacy as we navigate this new phase in our lives.”
The two were considered one of the Hollywood power couples of recent years. Vergara, known among other things from the series “Modern Family” and from the jury of the talent show “America’s Got Talent”, just spent her 51st birthday in Italy. Manganiello is said not to have been there.
The couple have been growing apart for a while, an insider wants to know. They apparently spend their time separately “to think about their future”.
It was first announced in the summer of 2014 that Vergara and Manganiello were together. A few months later, just before the turn of the year, there were reports that they had become engaged. Less than a year later, in November 2015, rang the wedding bells.
