According to Tiktok, groceries are in great demand on the platform. In the UK, several suppliers are now offering their meal kits directly through the video app.

Tiktok users can now buy groceries through the platform in the UK. Since Monday, the cooking box suppliers Pasta Evangelists, The Veg Box Company and The Fish Society have been offering their products via the social network, as reported by the trade journal “The Grocer”. The brands could offer exclusive discounts, among other things. Tiktok is thus following the trend of other companies that want to benefit from the booming food delivery business.

According to Tiktok, food-related content has garnered more than 26 billion views so far. “Enabling brands and fresh food manufacturers to sell directly to our community through a seamless transaction in the Tiktok shop is a logical next step,” said Patrick Nommensen. Pasta Evangelists co-founder Finn Lagun spoke of an “exciting opportunity to change the face of modern retail” while delivering food.
