Snake interrupts Brisbane tournament match for 40 minutes

The qualifying match for the main draw of the ATP tournament in Brisbane had to be interrupted because of a snake which passed along the court on Saturday. Australian James McCabe had just won the first set against Austrian Dominic Thiem when the reptile appeared undulating on the side of the court, in front of the spectators.

Stopped, the game only resumed after 40 minutes, after a snake catcher called to the rescue managed to capture the intruder and lock him in a bag. The story does not specify whether the animal was venomous or not.
