Smoke column over Dürabuch – Fürstenfeldbruck

A tractor and a car burned out completely on Friday in the area of ​​the Olching police station. This resulted in material damage totaling around 160,000 euros. Fortunately, no one was injured by the fires, a young man had previously suffered minor injuries.

According to the police, it is not yet exactly known why a tractor started to burn on Friday around 4.45 p.m. while working on a field near Dürabuch (Egenhofen municipality). The 23-year-old driver of the agricultural machine suddenly saw smoke rising from the engine compartment. A short time later, the tractor and the attached implement caught fire. Several fire brigades from the surrounding villages were called to the scene of the accident to extinguish the fire. Nevertheless, the tractor could not be prevented from burning out completely. The plume of smoke could be seen from miles away. The total damage is estimated at around 150,000 euros. People were not harmed. The cause of the fire may have been a technical defect.

Another vehicle was totally destroyed by a fire on Friday evening in the Rottbach district of Maisach. According to the police, a 24-year-old from the Aichach-Friedberg district drove his car off the road to the right near the golf course and crashed head-on into a tree. The young man, who was slightly injured, was able to free himself from his vehicle. The car started to burn and had to be extinguished by the Rottbach fire brigade. The damage to the vehicle amounts to around 10,000 euros. There was only minor damage to the tree on the side of the road.
