Hasselblad – this name stands for Swedish camera tradition and high photo quality. So it’s no wonder that the smartphone manufacturer Oneplus is trying to upgrade its devices with a cooperation. With the new Oneplus 10 Pro (you can find the test here), however, that doesn’t really work. Ironically, the camera is one of the weaknesses of the premium smartphone.
At first glance, it sounds very good on paper. Hasselblad did not develop the camera system from a main camera (48 MP, ƒ/1.8), an ultra wide angle (50 MP, field of view of 150°) and a telephoto lens (8MP, ƒ/2.4, 3.3x optical zoom). , but supported in the software implementation of the camera app. This can be found in the Hasselblad red release button, the typical release noise and the “natural color calibration” according to Oneplus.
Compared to an iPhone 13 Pro Max, the images appear significantly warmer and strongly emphasize red tones. In fact, Oneplus claims that the camera recognizes more than 64 times as many colors as the competition, but that’s not really visible. In night mode, the quality then drops significantly.
