Small party “dieBasis” – surprising success – Bavaria

The micro-party “dieBasis” did a lot of advertising before the election, with numerous posters hanging on streets and in town centers. This has obviously paid off in some regions: In some constituencies the party was two to three percent, sometimes even ahead of the left as an established party that sits in the Bundestag. In the Rosenheim region, which was badly shaken by the corona pandemic, the direct candidate from “dieBasis” got exactly five percent of the vote at around 8 p.m. The movement was founded last year from protests against protective measures due to the corona pandemic. There is no Bundestag election program, “dieBasis” is a group that is close to lateral thinkers.
