Slovenia is the guest country of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2023. A great journey through this microcosm of European landscapes, its languages, its literature.
There will be a “Srečko Kosovel stage” in Pavilion of the host country Slovenia at the Frankfurt Book Fair. Cool downdrafts could blow there, offshoots of the Bora, which roams over the Karst, the high plateau in southwest Slovenia, not far from the Adriatic coast. The poet Srečko Kosovel was born in the small town of Sežana above Trieste in 1904 and died in Tomaj in 1926, of meningitis, after a very short life in a catastrophic time.
