Slimane and Nolwenn Leroy take the place of coaches Julien Doré and Louane

Exit Julien Doré and Louane, yet appreciated during the eighth season of The Voice Kids which has just ended, make way for Slimane and Nolwenn Leroy. Three days after Raynaud’s victory, TF1 announces that only half of the show’s coaches will return for next season.

Kendji Girac and Patrick Fiori are returning respectively for an eighth and a third season in the red armchair for the version of The Voice intended for children under 16. “With this new quartet, a new chapter of the show begins and promises an event season”, rejoices the channel.

Regulars of the red armchair

If the arrival of two new faces in The Voice Kids marks a new turning point in the show, Slimane and Nolwenn Leroy are not entirely unknown to the show. Winner of the adult edition in 2016, Slimane has already officiated as a coach for two seasons in the Belgian edition of the show alongside his sidekick Vitaa.

Nolwenn Leroy, revealed in the Star Academy in 2002, had made an appearance in the adult version of the show in France in 2021. She was the “hidden coach”, responsible for picking up four talents after the auditions. She will make her big comeback as a permanent coach in the junior edition of the show.

A convincing season 8

After a final broadcast this Saturday, October 8, the last edition of The Voice Kids ended with a good audience of 3.14 million viewers, or 16.9% audience share until 10:20 p.m. The chain has imposed itself on the female commercial target with a market share of 21.9% among women in charge of purchases under the age of fifty. She is still pleased to have broken her audience record for this age group since 2016.
