At least one portrait of Vladimir Putin has already made it to Solote. In the yard in front of their command post, the soldiers of the 24th Mechanized Brigade of the Northern Group of the Ukrainian Army mounted a portrait of the Russian President on a straw dummy. Now and then they fire a few bullets at him – and hope that the real Putin and his soldiers will never come to the former mining town on the front in eastern Ukraine.
