Returning after 20 years. The singer from the Black Forest wants to go to the Eurovision Song Contest again. This time with eyes open.
What have you learned about the ESC since you first took part?
When I was there for the first time exactly 20 years ago, I first got to know the ESC. Because, musically speaking, I come from a completely different place. I sort of fell into color television from the Black Forest, where I come from. I found the event very tiring, stressful, but at the same time an exciting event. It was only last year that I really realized that the ESC also stands for tolerance and respect, for diversity.
