The British singer died of alcohol poisoning when she was only 27. Over 800 items from Winehouse’s estate were auctioned off at a two-day auction.

At an auction of souvenirs of the legendary singer Amy Winehouse (1983-2011), hundreds of pieces were auctioned off on Saturday, well above their estimated price.

A heart-shaped red leather bag designed for Winehouse by the Moschino label was estimated at $ 20,000. She brought in just under 205,000 dollars (around 177,000 euros) at the auction in Beverly Hills, California, as Julien’s Auctions announced on Twitter.

A gold-colored mini dress by the Dolce & Gabbana label went under the hammer for $ 150,000; it was estimated at $ 7,000. A black and white striped dress that the late singer wore during an appearance on the “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno in the performance of the song “Rehab” in 2007 brought in 25,000 dollars. One bidder paid over $ 11,000 for the tight black skirt that Winehouse wore at the 2008 Grammmy Awards when she won five trophies.

A turquoise bra that the singer showed in the music video for “You Know I’m No Good” brought in a good $ 25,000, and two of the British star’s stuffed animals fetched over $ 6,200. A birthday card that Winehouse had received from singer Adele was also auctioned. In the auction catalog it was listed at $ 200 to $ 400, and in the end the price skyrocketed to $ 3,200.

As part of the two-day auction, ten years after the singer’s death (“Back to Black”, “Rehab”), over 800 estate items were offered. On Sunday, other highlights were on the program, including the green and black mini dress that the singer wore at her last official concert in Belgrade in June 2011. On July 23, the star was found dead in his London apartment. She died of alcohol poisoning when she was 27 years old.

Amy’s parents, Mitch and Janis, helped put the auction together. Part of the proceeds will go to a good cause – the money will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which aims to protect young people from alcohol and drug abuse.
