Adel Tawil squats on the floor and can hardly breathe. His right foot is clamped in front of his left knee, his upper body is bent ninety degrees in the opposite direction. Sweat runs down the tip of his nose into his dark beard. This is not only due to the swivel seat: ten UV lamps heat the small room for the hot yoga class to 39 degrees. The teacher asks his seven students to breathe deeply into the solar plexus: “Here is the ego power.” Adel Tawil narrows his eyes and groans.
