Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman are engaged. The music producer proposed to his partner in a special place.
Simon Cowell, 62, and Lauren Silverman, 44, got engaged. A spokesman for the British music producer confirmed this to the US magazine “People”. The inventor of the talent shows “America’s Got Talent” and “The X-Factor” proposed to his long-term partner in a meaningful place.
Application on family vacation
On Christmas Eve, Cowell went for a walk on the beach in Barbados. The couple met on the island. Together with their son Eric (7) and Silverman’s son Adam (16) they spent the Christmas days there, the two boys are said to have been there when the application was made. “They are both super happy,” a source told People magazine. “They’ve been together and in love for a long time, so it doesn’t come as a big surprise to their close friends.”
Lauren Silverman was married to real estate developer Andrew Silverman from 2003 to 2013. With him she has their son Adam. Silverman and Cowell are said to have met in 2004. In 2013 it was announced that Silverman was expecting a child from Cowell, and they divorced Andrew Silverman a little later. Son Eric was born in February 2014.
