The Siegertsbrunner Christkindlmarkt will probably take place at the depot on Egmatinger Straße this year. That is “99 percent certain,” said Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD) in the municipal council. Since the usual location on the forecourt of the Raiffeisenbank is currently not available due to the renovation, the Christkindlmarkt-Verein has envisaged the area in front of the Sigoho-Marchwart elementary school for its event on the first Advent, according to the head of the town hall. For logistical reasons, the maximum number of booths there would have been limited to 14 – half of what the club would like to set up. As a result, an alternative location was sought and found in the municipal depot. It is usually used by the Siegertsbrunn boys. However, the town hall has already spoken to them, says Konwitschny. “And they will cooperate.”
